Jingle, Jangle, Jingle I love Mr. Bingle....
|Kayla of Shreveport bringing the Jingle, Jangle, Jingle of her Mr. Bingle back home!|
Last year I was approached to create a Mr. Bingle. I had forgotten about my intimate encounter with the famous Christmas celebrity. I had to research an image to work from and the article with Chase popped up on the internet. OMG. Well, I found a copy of the magazine I had hoarded away and worked from there. For the past few years I started to create whimsical sculptures using a mixed media technique. In addition to those, I am also known for painting the figure and portraits. This would be a unique challenge combining the two. Of course this would not be as if it was a likeness to a person, but Mr. Bingle is a sacred, beloved character and I didn't want to make anything less than a celebration of his meaning and maybe translate the illusion that he could come to life and dance and sing. After several attempts I manage to get the cardboard, paper, wire, glue and paint to come to life. (Dancing and singing left to the imagination). He was well received and all of them found good homes. I started this holiday season with orders pending. It is great to be a small part of keeping Mr. Bingle's spirit alive during Christmas and continue his cheerful message for generations to come....Jingle, Jingle, Jingle...you know how it goes.
Wishing everyone a very
and all the best
in the New Year!
P.S. This is Chase, as a man. Minus his beautiful curls.:( I am sure he is available for modeling gigs. As you can see, he still has that boyish glint in his eye and he can rock a mean suspender! His contact info: http://www.americanalchemist.com
